The HALO Foundation

Who they are: The HALO Foundation is a not-for-profit-organization determined to end child homelessness. HALO provides the foundation of a family to kids in need of a home. They educate, love and support these children until they are ready to face the real world once again. 

My Role: I started at the HALO Foundation as a volunteer. I loved their message and I wanted to be apart of something great. I soon realized they could use my expertise so I took on an official Marketing role with HALO. 

My daily duties consisted of:

  • Marketing content (website content, social media, blog posts, email blasts)

  • Fundraisers (organized and held events for the community to help raise funds for HALO)

  • Administrative tasks (replied to emails, organized volunteers)

  • Taught a painting class for the children once a week where we encouraged their creativity

Who they are: Minimusic is a musical enrichment program offered to children ages 6 months to 11 years old. This powerful team of one visits various pre-schools, day cares and children's centers, providing fun and interactive programs to help young children develop the musical ear. 

My role: I started working with Minimusic in high school as a child care assistant. Post-college I decided I wanted to help this small business market their great idea. I've created a website, flyers, business cards, events, and more to help Minimusic reach a larger audience and this has led to a 200% increase in business.
